Westside Run!
This trail will take you from Boulders OHV to Box Canyon in Wickenburg. We will enjoy a little bit of everything from smooth dirt road to rock, lots of hill climbs and descents and some narrow shelf roads. Once we get to Box Canyon there will be plenty of fun water to play in and drive through. The canyon is amazing this time of year.
You will want to have a Bronco (or Jeep/other) on a minimum of 33” tires and at least a steel front skid plate. Some underbelly protection is also advised.
For this trail you WILL need a State Trust Land permit. https://azland.my.salesforce-sites.com/recreationalpermit/ Current cost for a 1 year family permit is $20 . Purchase online here: Please do not try to hop on the run without a permit as they do check from time to time.
We will meet up at the Boulders OHV Area off Carefree Highway at 9am, air down and hit the trail by 9:30am. This is a great staging area with restroom facilities as well.
As always…. On ANY trail in Arizona there is an inherent risk of Arizona pin stripes or scrapes/scratches. This trail is NO exception to the rule. The Arizona Broncos group does not take any responsibility for any damage that may happen along the trail.
What to bring (The basics)
GMRS Radio (We will pick the channel when we air down). PLEASE, make sure you know how to use your radio before we go!
More water and drinks than you think you will need
Bring a lunch and chairs for when we break
Full tank of fuel
You should have all of the tools to air down and air up as well.
